Thanks Shasta. I already have a 50mm f1.8 so I'm trying to kinda breach out to other lenses, and I think I wide angle would be kinda nice. Hope Sherbs lets u back into the thread soon!

I would actually have no problem at all with the mobo upgrade and everything, the problem is because my boot drive is IED gnarrrr.

Not that easy. Like I said, I woudl then have to either:
a- re-install XP Pro then pay $80 for the student Win7pro upgrade
b- pay $150 for Win7Pro outright OEM build.
That plus a power supply and fan. Keep in mind what you built up a year ago for yourself is like what I did 4 years ago. I'd rather just up the ram because frankly I'm very happy with the processor. The graphics card will always be able to move to the new mo-bo. I'm not ready for a mo-bo/processor overhaul just yet.

The sticks I got were $55, but if a pair of those pair don't work, then it's a mobo thingy.

mehhh haveing a bit of ram trouble. Will trouble shoot tomorrow or return them. I have a feeling that it is because going from 4GB to 8GB, I will need to find all the drivers that will utilize more than 4GB, since it is 64bit.

Yeah that will be good. I'll keep an eye out for a Mobo/processor combo. Keep in mind however there's more to it than swaping out the parts. My BOOT drive is IDE, which means that whatever board I get I will have to re-install (and work with) XP Pro 32bit, then somehow re-install the upgrade (re-purchase it). Or jsut start from scratch and just get the OEM builders kit for $150 instead of $300 for Win7 Pro. Either way it's laaame I can't just swap the boot drive over.
But that's a whole other issue.
I'll try and start getting a rough outline for the big video project that we can discuss further once we just brain dump it with brainstorming.

Mount Shasta, California, United States
Cool, but can you get the iso-elastic vest for that one? Because you can still see some up-down bobbing...
